板垣 あすか
1977年 東京生まれ。
1990年 女子美術大学付属中学校に入学し、1998年 短期大学卒業までの8年間、美術を学ぶ。中学、高校と洋舞部に所属。
大学在学中にキューバ人ダンサー、Tangin Fong Matosに出会った事がきっかけになりダンサーを志すことを決意。
1999年よりキューバ国立舞踊学校にて、キューバモダン舞踊、民族舞踊、創作、教授法を学ぶ。
2003年 同学校卒業。現地での研修を続ける。
ハバナダンスフェステイバル”callejero"に参加。同じく卒業生である友人,Debora Galiciaと共にDuo作品を発表。 また、サンチャゴ出身のハイチ系民族舞踊団、Misterioの活動に参加。毎年7月、サンチャゴで行われる火祭りに出演。
帰国後、舞踏家雫境が主宰する舞踏ユニット”雫”の作品に出演。海外を中心とした公演活動に参加。(2003 "ながれとよどみー光が梢ト霞ノ間ニ降りカカルトキー”/盛岡、2004 "終の宿ー道しるべの傍らにてー”/ペルー、”道しるべの傍らにて”/韓国 2005/東京にて再演。）
また、自身もソロ作品を創作、発表。（2003 "自由であるー自由はあるー自由とある”/DANCE PATIO 1 スフィアメックス、2005 "ミンナガウタ”/ダンスがみたい！新人シリーズ３ 神楽坂die pratze、2007”スリット"/ういてんぺん展HIGURE17-15 cas contemporary art studio)
2004年 キューバ人振付家/ダンサーである、Narciso Medinaのクラスアシスタントを勤めながら、キューバンダンスショウにメインメンバーとして参加。
彼のもとで、ダンサー、又講師としても経験を積む。
2005年 拠点を埼玉に移し、地域の中でのダンス活動に取り組む。
カルチャーセンター、公民館、またイベント会場等で、ラテンダンスクラスを展開する。
又、多くのアーティスト、ミュージシャンと舞台や即興ライブを行う。（Pauchi Sasaki、Nomi Sasaki、小西徹郎、岡田浩安、山口智、岡野裕和、慧奏、高橋ゲタ夫、ローリー寺西：NHK土曜書き込みTVにて共演。）
2006年 彩の国さいたま芸術劇場で行われたイスラエルのインバルピントダンスカンパニー、Inbal Pinto &Abshalomのワークショップへ参加。2007年イスラエルに2ヶ月間滞在。その間、カンパニークラスに参加。 又、日本において世界初演されたカンパニー作品『Hudra』の制作過程を見守り、その仕事からたくさんの事を感じ学んだ。
